About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

..
..We are living in Japan for the next 18 months and still have our house in Jacksonville. I care deeply about all of my friends and family and hate not being able to pick up my cell anytime I want (I'm NOW 14 hours ahead of Eastern time) and chat. I also HATE not being able to decide on Thursday night that I want to drive home the next day for the weekend. I LOVE Auburn and Auburn football and HATE that I can't just go to any game I want or that I have to stay up until 3am just to watch the games (but it will totally be worth it). So I use email, Facebook and of course MySpace to keep in touch.

China & Thanksgiving

24 hours ago China said "No thanks" to visiting US sailors in Hong Kong.  You can take a guess at why I'd be interested in this story.  Families had arrived for a Thanksgiving visit and ever...

Trapped...

I've become a 1950's cliché.  I am a housewife.  I'm not an independent career woman.  It doesn't matter that I can speak 2 languages (I speak the wrong one) or can reconcile money in d...

Observations from a Japanese Starbucks

I literally wrote these down as I sat in the More City-Yokosuka Starbucks, so no judgements on coherency or grammar.  Most of these have to do with dress: -If you want some cute wedge heels go to...

Something with the Math

Formative views among Europe's "next generation" have been shaped, if not seared, by a war lasting longer than World War II. Some call it an "Iraq generation," harking back to the "Vietnam generation"...

1 Month In

So, I've been here for one month.  No more kidney stones and I actually have my own furniture here.  I'm glad I get to sleep on my own bed.  Things that are still in limbo include: Gar...
