About Me

This is where I come in. Years of musicianship, studio, and live preformance come into play in this, the RtZ project. A well trained ear is essential in the process of mixing, equalization, and production of a great recording, and I have personally recorded in several bands in professional studios such as SouthWest (Roanoke) and Cybersounds (Chesepeke), not to mention years of independant recording environments, to lend my experience to the quest for the best a band has to offer. Want to lay down some strait-forward tracks? I can oblige. Want to sink your teeth into something completely mind-blowing? We can make it happen. Playing live shows can expose your music to a few hundred people, if your're lucky. By the way, I can record a live show better than you'd think. But a great album of solidly produced material can really excite people, people you'd never met, in places you'd never been to. Ever hear the album, Machine Gun Ettiquite, by The Damned? Or The Marshall Suite, by The Fall? Kick Out the Jams? Or Rick Ruben's production of Danzig? Miles Davis with Down on the Corner? These guys knew how to make their music sound fuckin' sweet, and my point is that production really matters, and someone with my aptitudes in pitch/rhythem discrimination and technical skill can open up new possibilities for your music that no one else can -- at least in the low-budget range.

Searching for musicians around C-Vile

Talk to me. If it's too mainstream, I may become mean and sarcastic.

The birth of RTZ (explanation of songs)

So far, we have three types: 1) Acoustic-y stuff with me singing and drums and electric guitars mixed in. These are predominantly "busking" songs that I've fleshed out with instrumentation. 2) "EVP" s...
