I came from a musical family, grew up in Leucadia /Encinitas, CA, with Blues music all around. ;) In 08 I got engaged to the most beautiful woman, who I love and cherish, Dani Wilde. We are planning for 2010 in SD, CA and someday raising a little international blues family of our own. Growing up in Southern California, as a kid one of my earliest memories is... Piano lesson from Kate Webster at the Filmore in SF, at the ripe age of 5. She taught me to Boogie Woogie, and was the sweetest lady. I will never forget that and it has left a huge impact on my musical taste. With Thomas Yearsley of the Paladins/ and my mother Candye Kane, there was always great talent and music around, at all times. I have played with CK since 2003, we tour over 250 days a year, travel all over the world and are "one of the hardest working bands in the business! We represent west coast blues and swing, and am proud of it!" One of my heros is the great Chico Chism, "RIP" he used to come to our shows at the Rhythm Room in AZ, and enjoy himself, he was a great drummer, and played with the best of them (Howlin Wolf, T-bone...), he used to tell me, " I came to watch you play, Keep it up!" I will carry that with me forever! In '06 I played on my mothers record "Guitared and Feathered", it was produced by Bob Margolin, he played all over the record and its was a honor and a pleasure getting to groove with him. The new record "SUPER HERO" on Delta Groove Records! S.H. was self-produced by CK and Laura Chavez, and has Paul Loranger on bass, and 2 tracks feature Stephen Hodges on Drums (Tom Waits, Mavis Staples, Smashing Pumkins, Larry Taylor, Junior Watson...). Its so great to be apart of such a great band, and sit along side such great musicians. The new record will be out JUNE 16th, Everywhere!
