Hi!
I'm the Lyrical MC, also known as Samie to people who know me. I started life at over 16 years ago, and from there I have slowly become the person I am today.
The Lyrical MC didn't always exist, it was only around two years ago, that I started any of this. I've learnt a lot in those two years, and most importantly is to be yourself. Believe me, I am no "hardnut gangster", I'm not from the streets of East London, I don't own a Gun, and I don't think I ever will.
Rap and Hip-Hop isn't about anything I mentioned above, and anyone who purely believes that is wrong.
Rap is a form of expression, like any type of music, except it's the people who are generally seen by others as "hard", "tough", or maybe even "deadly", an open way to express something through a source anyone can access.
So now I have briefly cleared up the fact I am not a Gangsta, let's continue.
As you may of heard, I don't really take any of the music I make too seriously. I mean, I can't, it's crap, even by my Standards. I don't want to claim fame from producing crap songs, with some of the worst recordings I have ever heard.
I like to use music as a chance to bring something to other people. Like all the other types of Art Forms I do (Digital Art, Creating Videos, Guitaring, Poetry etc), I like to express a bit of me, with a lot of humour.
No, I'm not funny, but I try to be, and yes, I think most of the time I fail. Failure though doesn't put me off. Why should it, I'm only doing this to keep myself entertained, and make some people laugh, and even people don't laugh, I'm still having fun!
Currently I'm still working on my second "album". I think it's a lot better than last years' stuff, and as I have learnt to create new beats, I've been able to create new songs about more weird things.
One thing I haven't totally touched on yet, is Politics, which I hope 2008 will have a lot more of. (I need to think of an Album name!).
So, this in short is me. I can write crap forever, I can complain forever, and I can laugh forever too.
