I'm a Scottish sound artist, born in Glasgow in 1972 but now living in Edinburgh. I've been recording, in one incarnation or another, since the early 1990s. My most recent works are the Supernaturalist CD on ( EE Tapes ) and The Petrified Forest 3" CDR ( taâlem ).

From 2000 to 2003, I curated the net label techNOH, which orchestrated more than 35 releases by electronic composers from all over the world. I've recorded a number of albums with Richard Youngs, the Radios series: a ten album set of releases focussed on a particular set of sound sources, processes and the notion of chiasmus. We are set to commence on Radios 9... I also recorded for a number of years with fellow Glaswegian Alistair Crosbie as Inversion . Very little of that material saw the light of day, other than a few cassette releases, but we've now started to record again, this time under own own names, and a new disc Disused has recently been released by Alistair on his Lefthand Pressings imprint. A retrospective of our earlier work should be released at some point in 2009 on Diophantine Solutions .
Additionally, I'm now part of a wonderful, improvising trio Space Weather , with Alistair and Andrew Paine . Expect our first album, already recorded, at the start of 2009.
