Adina, 18 and Amina, 20 are two sisters born and raised in Long Island, New York. The girls knew they were destined to perform when they sang the theme song to Sesame Street in sync. Everyone stopped, paused and realized they have two future singers in the making. They have been singing and performing since the tender age of 6 & 8.
You’ve seen them on such hit shows as MTV MADE various talent shows and theatre productions as well as numerous music videos for mainstream artists.
Adina and Amina have been influenced by the greats of Madonna, legends of R&B Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Michael and Janet Jackson to name a few. Their sound can be described as an eclectic blend of urban funk, trance, R&B, techno, house, hip hop with a touch of pop.
Like their multi-ethnic blend of music, Adina and Amina are a blend of Native American, African-American, Puerto Rican and Jewish. They are open-minded artists who appreciate all forms of music and people.
Their style can be described as Runway Chic with a New York flair and universal appeal. They are not only singers but talented individuals as well. Adina plays the violin and is a visual artist. She displays her crafts thru the artwork she creates in her paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Amina like her sister is also a visual artist who masters in the filed of graphic design all the while choreographing the latest and hottest dance routines. They both practice drama, write songs and poetry. The girls are heavily involved in the writing and arranging of their music.
Their hobbies include writing and singing their music, drawing and frequently checking their myspace pages to speak to their fans, partying, watching music videos, listening to music, and of course shopping!!!
