Garida

About Me

Garida is an acoustic folk quartet from Adelaide. They play traditional folk music of primarily Celtic origin. The group also have original repertoire and play music from other parts of the world, including Denmark, Bulgaria and Canada. Garida formed in February 2008 to play at the Frances Folk Gathering, where they won Best Band at the Coopers Folk Awards. The group had so much fun that they decided to keep playing together, and have since performed at various venues across Australia. Garida is quickly becoming known in South Australia as the best local emerging folk act.
