Just the genuine and the nice would suffice :-)
Loads of different stuff!! Preferably with instruments in it. Ive got a thing for film music at the moment, particularly that of clint mansel, hans zimmer, and james horner. Theres no way I can write a list! I listen to anything and everything, depending on my mood. Anything from Radiohead, Mogwai, Massive attack, Portishead, to Pretty heavy stuff like Isis, Cult of Luna, Pelican. Ill give anything a try and give credit where its due. As someone who "tries" to play guitar, I tend to apreciate a good guitarist. Or anyone who can play an instrument.
I am a special effects whore. I love seeing peoples hard work and talents on the screen. I do apreciate good acting, but Id happily sit through a rubish film to watch a nice bit of cgi, or a well built set "geek"! I would write jedi on the cencus form (I love starwars). Matrix, LOTR, Most Sci-Fi, Labyrinth, dark crystal, Legend, general puppetry/muppetry, Jim Henson RIP, pans labyrinth, Japanese anime, in particular: spirited away, blood, ghost in the shell/ akira, etc, Japanese horror. Daren Aranofski is great. Requiem for a dream is briliant (if slightly disturbing!). I love Tim Burtons style too. Dark films. Vampire films. 80's classics like flight of the navigator, short circuit, back to the future, bateries not included need a mention too :-) Ohh bolox to it, I really will watch anything!
I really dont watch much telly, although I have been known to watch family guy, american dad, simpsons, mighty boosh, league of gents, south park, buzzcocks, QI, top gear, gadget show, etc.
I need to start reading more. I do enjoy reading, but usualy save it for public transport, which I dont use (and actualy miss) Two books that Id recomend are "the tibetan book of living and dying" by Sogyal Rinpoche, and Dorothy Rowe's "Guide to Life" READ THESE BOOKS!
