I am a boring, married, mother of 2, but that is perfectly okay with me. While my life is not what I thought it would be, I can honestly say that I have everything I ever wanted in life plus some. I am exactly where I want to be.
My husband and I met my freshman year in college, and have been together ever since. He is the person in this world that knows me better than anyone else- and still loves me just the same.
Joe and I have been blessed with 2 beautiful, healthy children - our five year old son Gavin and our beautiful 2 year old daughter Hadley. Gavin is inquisitive, funny, kind and full of life. Hadley is such a strange combination of mine and Joe's personalities. She is silly like me, and very sure of herself like Joe. I love, love, love being a mom. I know everyone with kids says that, but it is so true. No matter what kind of day that I am having, the second I walk through the door and they run towards me screaming "Mommmmmy!", I forget all of the stresses and problems of the day.
We love to spend the weekends finding new activities to do together as a family. Whether it is doing a project, going to a new museum or just playing at the park, we spend as much time together as a family as we can. With both of us working it is so important to us that our kids know that they always come first.
I love finding a great new book to delve into. The majority of the "mommy time" I give myself is spent reading. I guess that makes me just as much of a nerd as I was in school. The only difference now is that I realize that being nerdy isn't the worst thing in the world to be. I also love board games. However I think I may gloat a little too much when I win. I have recently developed a fondness for Rock Band. Don't ask me why, but that game is so addictive. I completely rock out on some old school Weezer!
I love my family. I am the oldest of 5 kids, and we are the closest family that I have ever known. My parents have been together since they were in 8th grade, and really set an example for us growing up. I could not imagine not having such a big family.
I am not a person who has had a lot of close friends in my life. I am of the opinion that it is much better to have a few really good friends than tons of so-so friends. So few people understand what it is to be a true friend, so I value those people in my life that do. You all know who you are.Now some things I hate (and I will keep this brief): people who take themselves too seriously, dishonesty, "frenemies", suck-ups, blame shifters, and people who are just generally rude.MYPROFILEPIMP.COM
