Vladimiros Symeonidis

Vladimiros Symeonidis(Βλαδίμηρος Συμεωνίδης) was born in Greece in 1972. He is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (composition diploma from Erich Urbanner's class, orchestral conducting from Uros Lajovic's class with academic degree ''Magister Artium'') and of the Music Department of the Aristotle University Thessaloniki. He has conducted the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO Wien), the ensembles of contemporary music ''die reihe'' ,''Klangforum Wien'' and ''dissonArt'', the Athens and Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestras, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra,the Camerata-Orchestra of Music Friends, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sinfonietta Belgrade. He has also conducted opera and ballet productions at the National Greek Opera and recorded for the Greek and Austrian Radio.His compositions have been performed through various orchestras and music ensembles like RSO Wien,Thessaloniki State Orchestra,Wienersängerknaben etc. Since 2006 he is the principal conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Greek Radio-Television (ERT).
