Plastic Princess

About Me

Chicago's Plastic Princess formed in 1996 when singer Dickie and bassist Amy left their previous band, Mary's Window (Slipdisc/Mercury Records). Soon joined by guitarist Pauly and drummer Jimmy James, the band's twisted, freakish glam/goth metal quickly caught on in the midwest. PP performed regularly to passionate followers in Chicago and Indianapolis, always dressed to the nines in various colored tuxedos and makeup, before disbanding in 2001.
Plastic Princess released 2 full-length indie albums (1998's "Haberdashery" and 1999's "Plastactiongirlboy) and had 3 songs featured on the Baby Factory Motion Picture Soundtrack (1998). There were, however, numerous unreleased tracks written that, until now, have never been available to the public. 2008's "Immortal Cosmopolitans," compiled and re-mastered by Dickie, contains 15 songs from the PP vault. The first 7 tracks were recorded just before the band's demise, while the last 8 are original 4-track demos from the earlier years.
Plastic Princess carved its own niche in the Chicago music scene of the late 90's and for those fans who remember and loved the band, this page is for you - my girlboys...
