I appeared on a documentary for XYTV in the UK called "American Vampires," I've been interviewed for an article titled "True True Blood" in Kansas City alternative weekly, The Pitch, and on the internet paranormal radio show "Nightwatch." In 2008, I appeared as an expert panelist for an academic round-table discussion addressing Goth culture as it relates to school dress codes and violence in schools at the American Criminal Justice Society's annual conference in Cincinnati, OH.
I hold a B.A. in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. As part of my curriculum, I completed a six-month internship with independent publisher, BkMk Press. My editorial credits include Our People by Ian MacMillan (2008), Tea and other Ayama Na Tales by Eleanor Bluestein (2008), and Dangerous Places by Perry Glasser (forthcoming 2009).
I'm engaged to my Beloved Spyder, am a homeschooling mother of two, a pet-lover, and a UMKC alumnus. When I'm not chasing after two high-energy boys and higher energy Corgi-Australian Cattledog mix puppy, or working on a writing project, I enjoy gardening, surfing the internet, watching movies, and listening to music. I don't read, I inhale books like air.
