About Me

This page is dedicated to the life of Giordano Bruno (1548-1600), an Italian philosopher, priest, cosmologist, astronomer and occultist. He argued that the stars are just like our Sun, that there are many worlds inhabited by intelligent beings, and that both space and time are infinite. He eventually left his faith, and avoided the Inquisition for some time, but they eventually caught up to him. He was burned at the stake by the Inquisition in 1600 because of his views. At his execution, he turned his face away from a proffered crucifix, and died in silence. Bruno is seen by some as the first martyr for science. MySpace Profile Photo Editor
