About Me

Kept Secret, David Mickens, was born a twin in a little town called Waynesboro Va. April 5,1976. Son of a preacher he lived a very strict lifestyle, only to have music play a big role in his life. A drum set was given to him at the tender age of three, soon, he could play anything he heard by ear! Kept branded his mark in hip-hop,in the early 90's spinning turn tables at random spots just trying to come up in the game, soon his twin brother and friends started a group called Soulful Resitaz, where he felt left out of the rhyming game but, knew a lot about the music part of it. Kept witnessed his twin brother get killed, and that opened up a door for rhymes, of the past and present time bringing straight heat for the streets! hot beats, rhymes, and life,... his art form can prove to the world why he is mos definitely Kept! Coming up quickly,he plans to invade ear and minds with his music like the black plague, and make his name shine bright in the industry. 08' is his year he plans to sell out shows, tour the world and, spread his love for hip-hop like his father teaches the word.
