Elliot Matsu Rocks Your Mom!

About Me

Elliot enjoys cereal and he lives in New York. He had a nice watch, but the link broke and he lost it so he's got a Timex now. And he likes Karate, Frito-Lays and HOT LADIES. And beers and sometimes candy. Wait, seriously.
About me:
Elliot Matsu's second release, “The Value of Power,” is due to be released this winter on Firetone Records. This record deals with the internal spiritual and emotional conflicts that are uncovered and encountered during our development as human beings. The production and arrangement attempts a return to a raw simplicity, musicality and primal emotion. Elliot is working with Grammy Award winning mix engineer Ben Arrindell, who lends an invaluable ear to the project. Ben has worked with Cypress Hill, Mary J. Blige and The Temptations, among many others. This record is guaranteed to make you cry or your money back. Not really.
Elliot was born in Chicago and studied music at the Suzuki School of Music from age 5 and later studied guitar with guitar wizard George Bellas. He has had the opportunity to work and play with some of the finest and coolest musicians and producers anywhere in the US including Jonathan Appell (Carol King, Bette Midler), Don Fury (Helmet, Slipknot, Agnostic Front), Shawn Pelton (Sheryl Crowe, David Byrne), Vinnie Zummo (Shawn Colvin, Joe Jackson), Steve Wolf (Annie Lennox, Avril Lavigne), Rick Skatore (24-7 Spyz), Ben Zwerin, Bill Mann, Joey Z (Life of Agony), Matt Friscia (Poster Children, Team Rockit), Odd Zero, Cyclone 60, Mark Shulman (Jewel), Mark Slutsky (Gavin DeGraw, PINK), Gregg Gerson (Billy Idol) and many others.
With his candid writing, instantly recognizable voice and innovative production sensibilities, Elliot Matsu is one of the most exciting underground artists out there.
“Cry,” the single from his first release 2nd Avenue on Firetone Records, hit number 30 on the adult contemporary charts. 2nd Avenue is available now on Itunes, CD Baby and other fine internet retailers everywhere.
BUT ONLY THE FINE ONES.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: ElliotMatsu.net
Band Members: Elliot Matsu is the main band member at this point. We are trying to get Jean Claude Van Dam, Gary Shandling and Vin Diesel to join up soon. Don't tell Vin Diesel I said that. You can tell Shandling and Claude Van. Wait - don't tell Claude Van Dam either.

BTW, Elliot Matsu T-shirts and the people who wear them are THE COOLEST.... I suggest, for the sake of Calrissian, that you get one of these babe's with the quickness:

Influences: David Hasselldorf. I mean Horf. I mean Hoff. Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Rigor Mortis and Jewel. Also, I like the theme song from "Gimme a Break" i.e., "plan my arrival," "i need a piece of the cake, give me a break." Also, and mainly, I like Genesis, Police, Guns 'n Roses, Led Zeppelin, Annie Lennox, Blondie, Bloc Party, Sound Garden, Pete Yorn and Bart Manelow. John Tisch. The smooth-assed sounds of Kenneth G. And most of all, I like REO Speedwagon and Black Sabbath. And BT and Ryan Adams and Brian Adams. Imogen Heap. And Steven Segal. George W Bush is a retard. Ooops...
Sounds Like: Rickie Ricardo meets Beethoven mixed with a dash of Bette Middler and a slight seasoning of Richard Simmons "Sweatin' to the Oldies." I try my very best to emulate Richard Simmons during what I consider to be his strongest period - the "Deal a Meal" years - in which he sold a simple, handsome jacket full of wonderful, colored cards, which corresponded to a meal which was both proportionate and nutritious for the dieter. The dieter would simply "deal him/herself a meal" from the card selection and lose weight accordingly.
