I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

My name is Jenny. I am a professional belly dancer and a web application developer. I am cute, funny, engaging, clever, and giving. I am very close with my family, and I have a handful of friends that I cherish greatly. I'm a good listener, a hard worker, and I do my best to make those around me happy. I am also arrogant, selfish, demanding, intrusive, obsessive, vain, nit-picky, petty, conceited, unsympathetic, and unwavering. I also drink heavily, yell constantly, forget people's names, drive aggressively, and have a mild superiority complex. In short, I'm your typical bat-shit crazy female.
I was a member of the award winning belly dance troupe Shazadi for 3 years while I was in Utah; visit Shazadi and USU Middle Eastern Dance on the Web at USU MED . I also taught the beginner classes on campus. Please contact me if you are interested in classes, upcoming performances, or private lessons (serious inquiries only, please).
I also hold a second-degree brown belt in American Kenpo, and was an assistant instructor at one point until our school in Logan closed. I have experience in MMA fighting; Muay Thai kick boxing and grappling (ground fighting) were in my school's curriculum. I love to box and wrestle when I'm drunk, so watch out.
Check out this article that SLUG magazine did on me: Sevda Bellyography . Wash hands. Repeat.
Watch me skydive.

Pictures from my birthday
Pictures from Boulder Halloween ... and the accompanying blog that tells the whole story.
This video is from Shazadi's Soiree, in December of 2004: A Blast From the Past! (thanks, Shahravar)
Please don't bother trying to add me as a friend unless I already know who you are. You're probably creepy. (At least send me a message... if I like the cut of your jib, I'll add you!)

My Interests

Middle Eastern Dance (Belly Dance), watching movies, spending time with friends and family, cooking, snowboarding, sky diving, swimming, drinking beer, and traveling.

The Beastie Boys

Any contemporary Arabic music, especially Nancy Ajram and Ihab Tawfik. Ya Habibi!!

Movies:

I love movies soooo much. Like, so much it HURTS. I can be a real shit-head about it though, as in, your opinion will always be wrong and mine will always be true and good. There are many films that I love more than life itself, but here are just a few:

The Devil's Backbone
The Third Man
The Commitments
Vertigo
Requiem for a Dream
Oldboy
Trainspotting
Pink Floyd's The Wall
Suicide Club (Suicide Circle)

Barton Fink
Anything by the Coen Brothers...

"Don't try to be like Jackie. There is only one Jackie.... Study computers instead." --Jackie Chan

"Party on, Dudes" --Abraham Lincoln

Television:

I don't have cable. I honestly don't understand how anyone has time to watch 2+ hours of TV a day. It boggles my mind.

I love The Kids in the Hall. I have every season on DVD.

Books:

I love Tom Robbins' novels (Jitterbug Perfume being by far his best work), I also like Thomas Hardy (Return of the Native), and S.T. Coleridge is my favorite poet. My favorite book ever written is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
