I have entered the county fair three times with baked goods.
In 2006, I received blue ribbons for my fruit cake and oatmeal raisin cookies, and a white ribbon for my chocolate chip cookies.
In 2007, I received blue ribbons for my fruit cake and chocolate chip cookies, and a white ribbon for my chocolate chip cookies..
In 2009, this year, I received a blue ribbon for my fruit cake, a red ribbon for my brownies, and white ribbons for my lemon poppyseed muffins and orange ginger muffins.
I've taken two decorating courses of Wilton's cake decorating techniques. I'm anxious to complete the rest of the courses. I'd like to teach the courses too.
