About Me

"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no death, there is the Force."In the summer of 1977, Star Wars changed me forever~Over those years, as I watched the trilogy, I was drawn into them, molded by them, consumed by them. I wanted so badly to be Luke Skywalker. Luke, the innocent, who transforms into a hero. A force for good in the galaxy. I've always wanted to be a Jedi, if only in my dreams. Imagine my suprise to find that tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of others felt the same as I?They've taken the steps to make their dreams a reality, and now so am I. Care I what think others? no. All religions and philosophies started out as ideas. They became stories, told to others, wrapped in myth, to better understand the meaning of the ideas. Is writing a script for a film, and telling that story so different than walking the desert, relating stories to listeners and building your religion that way? Writing a script or a scroll? It dose not matter where the idea came from, but the truth behind it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet others of like mind. People that love Star Wars. People that believe in the Jedi. Do you live your life as a Jedi? Do you want to live that way? You don't have to dress the part, or wield a FX lightsaber at a convention to be a Jedi. (i do love those people too) Just embrace the ideals that the Jedi represent. I've sought peace of mind, and a connection to the universe for many years now... exploring Taoism, Buddism, Wicca and paganism. The Jedi seem to touch on all these beliefs. You could look at it like the Jedi philosophy is a collection of bits of other religions. Perhaps it's the other way around? Perhaps George touched on the unifying connection to all these paths?Perhaps the Jedi have always been here. Traveling the Galaxy, teaching those who want to learn, helping those that cannot help themselves. Leaving a hint of their presence behind in all the cultures they've touched.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
