StayGreen is a charity started to raise awareness to the dangers of global warming and to help protect the natural resources of OUR earth. We try to spread our message through the medium of musicians and other artists. The money we raise goes towards the purchase of high quality environmental credits, which enable the financing of projects that reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Carbon offsets are created by projects that directly reduce greenhouse gas emissions such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and waste management. Offsets can be purchased to balance out the emissions produced by electricity consumption, air travel, driving and other human activities. Each carbon offset represents a one metric ton reduction of CO2-equivalent emissions, the principal cause of climate change.
Green projects to which funds will benefit include but are not limited to:
-Turning biogas to power in California
-Fuel substitution in Hungary
-Creating hydropower in China
Although some of this money is being used outside the United States, please understand that we are trying to benefit humanity as a whole.
