Pastor David L.Herron Sr. was born unto the late Peter C.&Lethonia Herron July 8,1955 in Warren,OH.He Was Educated at Warren Western Reserve High School,Youngstown State University,American Bible Baptist Theological Seminary and The Moody Bible Institution.Through The Inspiration Of His Grandfather,The Late Supt.David L.Howard Sr.,The Late Ora Washington Howard and The Late Eld.Eli Holman, God's Seeds Were Sewn In His Life.When It Came To Helping The Church,Pastor Herron Was Always Ready And Available.Pastor Herron Became The Husband Of Brenda J.Walter July 5,1980.Their Family Consist Of Christina A.Herron-May(John),David L.Herron Jr.,Daniel P.C."Boom" Herron,2 Grandchildren Jada May and David L.Herron III.Having Received His Salvation And The Baptism Of The Holy Ghost On December 16,1970,and Later Being One Of The Three Men Scoring 100% On An Ordination Examination Taken By Over 100,He Became a Licensed Minister February 16,1975.The Youngest Elder Of The Ohio Jurisdiction August 1,1977.Pastor Herron's Service To His Grandfather's Church,St.James Church Of God In Christ,Warren.Now,Pastored By His Uncle Supt.Melvin L.Howard Sr.,Included; Visitation Committee President,Evangelistic Department President,Choir President,Youth Pastor For 12yrs.,Second Assitant Pastor For 10yrs.,Trustee Board Member and Warren District#2 Youth Department President.Pastor Herron's Service Within THe Community Includes: Executive Board Member NAACP,Executive Board Member Trumbull County Rainbow Coalition,Drug Counselor For American Welding,A Member Of Trumbull County Youth Council,Ministerial Alliance,and The Leadership Mahoning Valley Class OF 1997.In The Business Community,He Was The Director Of Personnel In Purchasing For The Bethel Group,A Kentucky Fried Chicken(KFC)Franchise.Pastor Herron Served as The Campaign Chairman For The Committee To Elect Bishop Warren E.Miller to The Board Of Churhces Of God In Christ World Wide,Ohio Central Jurisdiction Cheif Adjutant And Y.P.W.W. President,also A Church Of God In Christ National Adjutant.Pastor Herron Is The Founder and Pastor Of The Monument Of Faith Church Of God In Christ,Which Began Conducting Services On September 10,1989 at The Delaney Center.The Current Edifice located at 2165 Highland Ave.,Warren,OH was secured in October of 1992.Through The Leadership Of Pastor Herron,He Has Completed A Multi-Dimensional Community Family Outreach Complex.On July 16,2002 Pastor Herron Recieved Two(2) Outstanding Appointments:
*Administrative Assistant To The Bishop Of Ohio Central Jurisdiction
*Regional Youth Director Of The Youth Departments Of Ohio,Michigan,and Kentucky
