About Me

Mike Nelson was born in Boston, MA, USA in July of 1992. Mike was only 10 when he was introduced to the world of electronic music by his brother. Over the years, he has grown to love all styles of electronic music, but his passion is trance, house and progressive. After being a fan of the music and the great DJs behind it for so long, Mike decided it was time to try to become part of it all. In almost no time, Mike has made a name for himself by ranking as the second best DJ in Boston, and he's only going up from there. He mixes a very wide selection of electronic music including the latest trance, house and progressive tracks with great skill and he just loves what he does. He recently started to produce his own music on an Apple iMac using Logic Pro Studio, much like Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn and others. Mike has only recently started producing and he hopes to have an EP done soon including original tracks and remixes.Look for updates about the Terminal 42 radio show and how to tune in to listen!...

Influences: Many influences. Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5...Paul van Dyk is listed first because it was him who opened the doors for me into the world of electronic music production. Through him I learned that it was possible to make quality music without the need for million dollar studios and racks upon racks of synths and drum machines. It's difficult to say one name, or even a select number of artists that have influenced my music. It would be most honest to say that every song that I listen to shapes my style, preferences and interests. Just like the world of music as a whole, my inspiration is always shifting, blending and fading into something new, usually in a beat-matched fashion. :PThe music that I produce was originally intended to be trance, but the sound changed to acquire a more progressive and house like feel. I'm still new at it and I never know what to expect when making a song. I just record whatever I feel at the moment, and if it sounds good to me then I go with it.
Sounds Like: What does it sound like? It's not for me to decide, you make your own connections...

New Album: Evolution Of Noise

Alright... so I started legitimately producing tracks about nine months ago on Logic Pro. I have been working on all sorts of projects over the course of those nine months and it's just about time ...
