Raedar For Music was created by Kristi Rae
The mission is to simplify the process of creating a space for musicians to explore the possibilities of their music. As a musician, it can be very difficult to see a clear direction not only from a creative standpoint, but also financial, performance, recording. Some musicians are built with a thick skin and an uncanny talent for perseverance. Some are not. Many beautiful songs and musicians have been lost to history.
The goal of Raedar For Music is to unite the musician with their truth and their potential. Thank you for your interest.
Paula Jean Brown
In 1984, Paula Jean Brown's music career began as a replacement bassist for the Go-Go's, performing with them at the first Rock in Rio festival in 1985 to an audience of over 250,000 people.
Later, Paula co-wrote three songs for Belinda Carlisle's first solo endeavor, Belinda, for IRS records. Of these songs, Mad About You, the first single from the record, became a hit for Carlisle, making it to 3 on the Billboard Pop Chart.
As a guitarist and bassist, Brown is perhaps best known for her contributions as a member of the Tucson-based band Giant Sand. She collaborated with Giant Sand front man Howe Gelb and has continued to be an part of the Giant Sand extended family.
In 1992 she toured with the Steve Wynn Band in support of his second solo record, Dazzling Display. In 1993 Brown formed her own project based out of Tucson Arizona. The Paula Jean Brown Band and consisted of drummer John Convertino , bassist Joey Burns, (of Giant Sand and Calexico), and guitarist Robert Mache (of the Continental Drifters).
After taking a break from music to focus on family, Brown relocated to Austin in the summer of 2005 and began again to concentrate on her songwriting and guitar work. She recently completed a tour playing bass with Sparklehorse for the 2006-2007 tour for the 2006 release Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain.
Paula Jean Brown has been quietly cultivating a collection of songs since 1984. Her range on the guitar and in voice is expansive and illuminating. Her lyrics express a heart that is open to the greatest depth. In 2008, she has invited us in to share.
Owen and Emilie
From the depths of feeling, highs, lows, and anywhere in between. That is where this band began. The music is nothing more than an excuse to make people listen to the story behind it. Raised through crummy schools and social lifes, broken families and friends, every event of life can be heard behind the melodies that dont hesitate to capture both ends of the spectrum. sweetest softs to the heaviest hards, hoarse melodies and breathy proclamations stem from a vast amount of experiences dumped on youth. This is our story, this is what we've seen, this is how we continue to fight our way through life. self-taught and inspired, we want nothing more than to show what can be conquered with the strength inside of us all. the message is universal. everyone has been through alot. everyone can relate.

Life be more, be warm and blessed. So that you may fill me up.
How many times has your heart been broken because you lost sight of your dreams? Without dreams, the journey of life can become stationary. Who can say what sidetracks a person on their life’s journey. The original intent behind Kristi Rae’s third album Time, be lit. was a personal reflection on surrendering her deeply felt love of music. All that changed when musical chemistry ignited in the studio and Kristi Rae fell in love with music all over again, thus receiving a large deposit in her jar of hope. New songs unfolded and were recorded that capture her renewed journey.
Time, be lit. reflects on the unrealized influence we have over our existence and consequently how that power affects the manner in which we live. This album will coerce you to ponder the sublime complexities in the nature of life, from the simplest cells to the elitist paradigms. The lyrics, intertwined in melodic light convey a hopeful message of forgiveness and renewal while subsequently expressing the absence of comfort experienced in tradition.
When your heart has given up completely, it must be fully open before turning back to your hope and dreams. In Time, be lit. Kristi Rae has found her hope.
