Summer of 2003: After the excitement created by J.J. and the Funkadelic Express but the disappointing response to their album, 'I'm Right, Your Wrong, Let's Bone, So Long,' the members decided to go in a different musical direction. Three weeks later, their next project, Moses Turd and the Flying Chimichangas proved to be a dissapointment since the band could not effectively perform while on fire.The members of what eventually would become Contraband got together in a series of round table discussions to plan the next project. Flash forward to September of 2004. The members put away the go-go boots, the funk, and the glittery outfits. This new band would have to be better than anything they had ever done before. This band would have to make people skank and mosh all the way from Los Angeles, California to Sydney, Australia. "This is Contraband!" said Moisex!.
