About Me

I am 6ft 187lbs born on August 27, 1976. That makes me a Virgo: critical, loyal, giving, shy, analytical. I was born in Puerto Rico, but raised in New Orleans, La. Growing up in New Orleans, I was surrounded by some of the nicest people around, and I still believe we are all good people in our core. Even though I don’t have any plans of living in New Orleans again, the city and soul remain close to me. My work life has been pretty diverse. After graduating from high school, I went into the Army where I was a Communications Specialist. I basically was responsible for setting up and maintaining the systems used for communication. After getting out of the service, I started my slow pursuit of my college degree. I wasted many years partying so getting my degree took much longer than most people. I finally got my degree in Media Productions. I always thought I wanted to work behind the scenes in Radio/Television.. In Houston, I was able to work at a local Spanish T.V. station for a few years as a photographer/cameraman, and got to have many of my dreams come true in a very quick time. I got to cover my favorite football team, The New Orleans Saints , as well as the Houston Astros World Series run. Currently I work for a non-profit that helps people dealing with chronic illness. Because of the influence that this work has had in my life, I am now pursuing my second degree in Nutrition. My life outside of work is pretty simple now. I guess that has come as a result of spending many years living to the extreme. The bars, drugs, and alcohol ruled my life. It got to the point where I was broken down physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have found a reprieve from this lifestyle by making some tough choices in my life a few years ago. A one-on-one relationship with God has helped a lot. I always listened to what other people said about how God felt about me being gay, rather than listening to my heart. I have taken a different path in life today. One that includes love of my self, as well as listening to others I trust and the inner voice that is ever present. I have found much freedom by constantly looking inside to see what I can change about me. It is a life long process. Today, my relationship with my family, friends, and various lovers I have had have been much improved. I have been sober from drugs and alcohol since May 29, 2005. I don’t past judgments on anyone who is in that lifestyle, but I do want something different today.
