Adina Even-Zohar, Singer-Songwriter
Jazz, Blues, and Contemporary
“I knew that something very important was missing from my life. And without regretting for a moment where I’ve been and what I’ve already done, I finally realized that my life would be incomplete if I didn't sing. I also believe that there is a reason that I arrived at this junction when I did and not sooner.“
In her usual approach to any challenge Adina immersed herself completely into honing her innate talents to develop as professional singer. Five years into the journey and in addition to ongoing voice and acting lessons, Adina has traveled the world to attend workshops under the direction of well known jazz vocalists such as Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, Madeline Eastman, Deena DeRose and Judy Niemack. Collaborating with Israel’s leading musicians, and drawing her inspirations from Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horne and Sarah Vaughan, Karrin Allyson, Nneena Freelon and Tierney Sutton, Adina has emerged as a versatile and sensitive singer-songwriter.
Adina's repertoire reveals the scope of her talent and the range and depths of her emotions. Whether singing her own original lyrics or those written by others, Adina expresses feelings and tells stories that are at the same time both personal and universal.
“Adina sings from the heart and penetrates the hearts of her listeners.â€
Successfully performing in Israel at a wide range of venues, Adina’s audiences are captivated by her deep, rich voice, intimate delivery and warm and stirring stage presence.
