It all started back in late '79, school mates Brian 'Geno' Moore and Andy 'Diamond' Gregory were regulars at Oscars and the Ruskin Arms seeing bands, such as Maiden, Angel Witch, Deep Machine and Dragonfly to name a few.~~~Oscars (The Green Gate) a nightclub, started a metal night on a Thursday, which had a DJ and live bands. Brian and Andy were invited to spin a few discs by resident DJ Danny. They became known as the Destroyer Roadshow, playing mainly NWOBHM such as Diamond Head, Mythra, Holocaust, Blitzkrieg, Venom, Tygers, Various Demo's etc aswell as classics from Kiss, Nugent, Riot etc. They then had Heavy Metal charts published in 'Sounds' Magazine alongside Neal Kay's Bandwagon Charts.~~~At the time, Brian was a roadie for Deep Machine, more so bass roadie for Andy Wrighton (Tokyo Blade, Shogun). This inspired him to play bass.~~~In '81, Drummer Kev Marks and Guitarist Terry Lewis, part of the Chadwell Heath Maiden Crew, joined Andy and Brian to form Destroya heavily influenced by the likes of Maiden, Deep Machine, Priest, Crue, Riot and Sister (Glam look but a traditional metal sound).~~~After numerous gigs around East London/Essex Area, including the Marquee Club, Kev & Terry left the band due to musical differences along with work commitments. Terry later went on to form Midnight Warrior.~~~After their departure, another local band Rampant disbanded. Their drummer Rick Tiley and guitarist Paul Playle then joined Destroya.~~~In '83 a 4 track was recorded of which a 100 copies were pressed. These were sold at gigs, also in '83 a gig at The Ruskin Arms was recorded by the P.A co, however although this was not at the request of the band, it is today in circulation.~~~Paul later left the band and formed Texas and went on to play with Beki Bondage and Praying Mantis.~~~Around the same time Brian also left the band to sell merchandise for various bands throughout Europe and the U.S, notably Iron Maiden. He currently lives in the the U.S and is a successful estate agent.~~~Andy and Rick went onto form Shanghai Tiger with Gandalf Wizardry Guitarist Darren Aldwytch and Bassist Charlie Hurley, but never gigged, a 6 track rehearsal tape exists. Rick never stopped playing and joined band after band. In '94 Andy and Rick reformed Destroya placed an ad in Kerrang this caught the attention of Pete Ashley (Deadlok) who joined along with fellow Deadlok Guitarist Tazz and Bassist Dave Dobbs this was the line-up that appears on the Videos and the 'Enjoy To Destroy' Demo.~~~Rick left the band due to work commitments and Paul Snowdon became the new drummer, and plays on the 'New Age' Demo.~~~The name was soon changed to C.O.L.D and then Coldblooded. An album was released. By then Andy had left the band and Pete Ashley took over on Vocals. Good Times, and hopefully one day an album will surface.
