Battered ’N’ Broken

Battered 'N' Broken started out in the spring of 2007, When members Nathan Roysdon and Kody Tanner (Boog) had got together one day to play Guitar Hero, and got to disscussing how they both played real guitar, and should get together to jam sometime. The following day, Nathan took his bass to Boog's to jam around, when their best friend Gary Johnson stopped by and mentioned moving the jam session to his house, where there would be more room than playing in Boog's bedroom. During the time Boog and Nathan were playing, Gary could be found smackin the floor and counter tops with his hands keeping rythem. It hit Nathan at that point that Gary really needed a drum kit cause he was destin to play drums!
Long story short, Gary got a drum kit in early summer of 2007, and the three friends got together whenever possiable to play. The group held their first "show" at Gary's annual Hall-O-Ween party in October of 2007. Word of the band spread quick, and between that and Gary's wife Lisa, they landed a gig playing at the employ New Year's party at Lee's Ford Harbor Restaurant held on January the first of 2008. The band performed one last time at Open Mic Night at Lakeside Pizza and Pub on January the thirty first of 2008, before breaking up shortly after, due to jobs and the stress of everyday life.
After nearly five months of being apart, the three friends decided they just couldn't keep from wanting to play together, and that they were ment to be a part of one anothers lives musicly, as well as being as close as any biological brothers have ever been, and closer than most blood families are! After only a couple of weeks of regrouping, the band recorded their first original song, "Don't Ask Why", which was wrote on December the sixteenth of 2007. After recording the song and getting the copyright in place, the song debuted on Local radio. Now back and more focused than ever before, the band hopes to continue doing what they enjoy doing, which is playing the music they love!
