Bound by a common love of jazz, 70’s fusion and 70’s soul and funk, Gruvtherapy began it’s mission in 2005 to entertain audiences with a sound best described as Neo Soul/Urban Jazz… mature, smooth, sexy and lively. Some would later dub our energetic musical style as “Ruffneck Jazz.â€
As the bands sound has evolved and been refined, the musical style and formula remains unchanged. Gruvtherapy offers up a pulsating, funky rhythm section drenched with warm, soulful saxophone riffs.
