I've never been one to toot my own horn, but I can tell you some of the things I believe in. I work hard for the things I have, and I don't expect anything to be handed to me by anyone. I believe things like trust, and respect are earned, not given. In this era of skyrocketing divorce rates, break-ups, and the loss of caring about your fellow man, I still believe in love. Not the kind that exists only in your head, but you feel in your heart, and is a part of your spirit. I believe we spend too much time worrying, working, and focusing on the things that don't really matter. I believe we should live each day as if it's our last...because it just might be. We spend too much time thinking about regrets, should have's, would have's, and what if's. Our lives have become materialistic, and the pursuit of happiness has lost it's real meaning. We should be spending more time doing the things we enjoy with the people that make us feel good. I believe in family values, because after all the friends and relationships have gone, your family is who has been and always will be there for you...no matter what. Finally for all of you who read this...pay attetion. If you find someone who makes you smile just at the sight of their name on the caller ID, makes your heart skip a beat at the mere mention of their name, treats you better than you ever imagined, loves you so much it brings a tear of joy, respects you and your dreams, never allows you to be unhappy, gives of themselves everything just to see you smile, and offers unconditional love without ever asking for anything in return...hold onto this person. You will NEVER find anything like this again. Stop looking for everything that doesn't matter about a person, and see what can't be seen. Loyalty, honesty, trust, and a heart that beats only to love you. Money, the job they have, the car they drive, or the home they live in doesn't matter because anyone can possess these things.
