About Me

'the monsters' are a new and disgusting creature. living on a raft named 'wainwright' that floats endlessly in an ocean of blood is a far cry from their former 'comfortable' lives.
the boys that we now know as the monsters all lived their seperate lives as individual white kids - raised in the rural 'america' - which is a land united by the worship of green men plastered on top of meaningless rubbish and cold-war relic religious gibberish (that some insist on clinging to as justifiction for their contradicting faith - a faith that exploits the meaningless-phrase in pursuit of the green men). it is easy to see why these boys and many people their age became disenchanted with the usual - who really wants to live in contradiction-ville with the piously haughty? so the boys banded together and set out on an adventure to find someone or something that could help them place meaning in their life.
armed with only three loaves of bread, a tub of peanut butter, and their raft who they called 'wainwright' - the boys felt prepared to tackle a rafting adventure across america. they met many lovely and interesting people on their journeys- but something was always too prevalent in their encounters - self.
they passed by many so-called great cities; built with many millions upon billions of the 'green gods' america worshipped. it was evident in these places by the color of the sky and water and by the stench the green men's smoke stack's clouds made (which bore a striking resemblance to giant middle fingers thrust over the cities skylines) that self would be the easiest thing to find in these places - that was just what they wanted to get away from though.
the boys were becoming more and more jaded with their adventure as the days passed and they promised each other that they would make it to the ocean and loose themselves at sea, hoping to find another land where they could continue their adventure. the ocean was the one place they thought they could find significance because their fellow man had exploited it the least. indeed, once they reached the sea and set out to find the least touched area - they encountered many amazing things - nature in all its glory was thrust upon them and they nearly forgot that since they first entered the sea, several days before, their supply of peanut butter and bread had run out. time was the only thing that caused the boys to notice their delemma in the beauty of the creation that humans hadn't created - and their stomachs began to yearn and churn in hopes that food would satisfy it. one by one - the boys fainted - falling into a deep coma that lasted for years.
it was on the 28th of October in the year of 2006 when one of the boys miraculously awoke from his coma at the sound of battering on the underside of 'wainwright' - noticing the change in his voice as he groaned to see what the racket was about and seeing the bushy hair on his ankles and legs - which wouldn't have been seen had it not been for his obvious growth or his clothes obvious shrinking - sent him into panic. this was instensified when he looked over the edge of the raft to see a mangled arm floating in a sea of red. a hideous face appeared immediately after the arm causing our post-pubesant boy to fall back on his comatosed friends. the face was grotesque but sang a beautiful song before it submerged itself again in the red water. this continued as far as his eyes could see with millions upons millions of these zombie-esque creatures singing wonderfully beautiful songs of praise in languages he had never heard. after taking a few moments to absord this phenomenon - he attempted to wake his friends from their comas. remarkably - one by one - they woke with a simple splash of this red-water. the group couldn't begin to speak - and the gruesome-creatures only praised. their praise was invigorating - though the group could not understand, they knew something good was happening. upon hours of this - the young men noticed a Figure standing on the water. the closer they got, the more they could tell that this Figure was in a great deal of grief and pain. closer and closer they drew until they realized that the water was, indeed, the blood of this Man - it was cascading from His hands, feet, and side. upon their getting within feet of Him, seemingly with all the strength He could muster - He told them things they had never heard. He told them the meek were blessed - He told them to love others as they loved themselves - He was radical - He was Love. the young men were dumbfounded and finally - with a boldness that can only come through losing a life - He told them that this was for them. the boys began to sing the songs of those zombies around them - they began to bathe in His blood - it was making them uncomfortable - but it was the only way they could understand this Man's boldness; their Saviors boldness. the blood mutilated them - it made them monstrous - it caused them to see things they had never seen before, their cynism and the land they came from's need for Love. they let go of themselves and became monsters of the world - singing praise from above - always trying to sacrifice as their Savior had.
rumor has it that these monsters can still be seen - attempting to sacrifice as their Friend did - their friend - the Bloody, Beaten, and Stupid Savior - seen singing his praises and trying their best. they want to reflect His gruesome Love. they love you. He loves you.
we love you!, the monsters

we try to write music that we would want to listen to - we have made some ugly music that we, in hindsight, aren't proud of but we are constantly pushing our personal envelopes as they pertain to technique and arrangement - hopefully we can all, in the end, share in some decent music while we wear our beliefs on this music's sleeves. our Father deserves nothing short of our all and that is what we attempt to give Him - it is a learning process though and we appreciate those of you who have stuck with us through the entire process. if you haven't been through with us through the bad and the ugly (which is still being worked on) - we encourage you to join in! we love making friends in whom our work doesn't bounce off of, but is absorbed and sent back to us in the shape of a thought! we love you guys!
all praise be to our Lord!
Sounds Like: trying, failing, loving, accepting, growing. praise!
