Hi. My name is James Coates and I live in Washington state, and yes... it sucks. It rains all the time and if you go to Seattle for the "club scene" or the "art and culture" all you smell is fish and all you see is homeless people and prostitutes. Don't visit, the Space Needle is not a good enough reason to leave your own state. I spent $26 for my mother and I to go to the top of that thing and I demanded a refund when I got to the bottom. I didn't get it, naturally, but it was the principle of the matter. They had a little cafe at the top (yes, a Starbucks. Screw Starbucks. You can't get a damn cup of black coffee. You ask for black coffee and the super-hot chick they hire to work there so you won't go off on her when she doesn't have black coffee asks you "So will that be a mocha-brave or a freakin' grande soft taco or whatever the hell they say. I want a freaking cup of black coffee!!!) and you could buy the water that funds breast cancer research (size=small, price=$2 plus tax) or you could buy the regular water (size=huge, price=$1 plus tax). You know, I almost felt bad when I bought the huge bottle of water. If Starbucks wants to screw innocent breast cancer victims out of their money by expecting that people are gonna front an extra dollar for a freaking smaller bottle of water, then that's their problem. But I've got bills.I also play a couple of instruments, mostly guitar and piano, although I also enjoy dabbling in jazz bass and swing drumming. Mandolin and ukulele also show up in my repetoir every once and a while, but mostly guitar. My favorite band is The Beatles (not the Stones, and NOT Elvis!) and my favorite Beatles album has got to be "Abbey Road." A lot of people put up a decent argument for albums like "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" or "The White Album," but "Abbey Road" is superior. Other bands I like include, yes, The Stones, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Weezer, Incubus and The Cloves. I listen to a whole lot more, but those are the main ones I like.I was home-schooled most of my life (I would and would not recommend it, pro's include a much safer learning environment that the public educational process doesn't provide, cons include graduationg high school a socially-unobjective retard and having to make up for eight years of social skills in three months). When I did go to public school, it was at Maple Lawn Elementary, Sumner Junior High School, and Sumner High School. All three are horrible, horrible places and you should stay away.I now work at a call center where I used to take inbound calls, but now handle billing issues eight hours a day, five days a week for the rest of my life. I also enjoy listening to old Sinatra albums, enjoying Star Wars films as well as the television shows Lost and 24, and wear a mean pair of aviator sunglasses. If you have a problem with any of that, please call my complaint department at 1-800-HELL-NO.Thanks.
