Born in the middle of nowhere Illinois, but have been most places you haven't, and some I wouldn't recommend.
I played for years in various original punk bands and along with Doug Rogers, co-founder of The Dead or Alives. I also still play with area blues bands in Southern Illinois as a sideman, some of the greatest.
I don't like scenesters and avoid them at all cost. You will rarely catch me at a bar when I am not playing, seen that movie a thousand times.
I am a photojournalist by day, and a gigging musician when time/money allows but always a player.
