Absynthia

Born and raised in the circus camps of Uzbekistan, Absynthia have most recently been making their living as a high-wire duo performing across Hungary. Absynthia’s well-developed sense of drama combines with a strong Eastern European esthetic, resulting in a performance of a type not often seen in this part of the globe.Martina- high flying trapeze artist, left her dynamic career to take on perfecting her bellyrolling technique to the pleasure of many of her fans. Her speciality is balancing swords while cooking her favorite homemade borscht, for her loving family. Self taught in sword balancing, her major influences in this art are of course the stars of Iron Chef.Angelina- Known in her homeland as one of the major players in the field balancing whisky bottles while riding a unicycle, Angelina gave up her title to tour Bulgaria with a leading edge travelling high wire trio called Flowzah. This amazing opportunity enabled her to perfect her skills and capture audiences imaginations wherever she went. Her extreme flexiblity allows for daring stunts with her whisky bottles that are dangerous yet stunning to behold. Recently, Angelina has had the honour of being invited to perform with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra to perform her beautiful whisky blowing ballads for enthusiastic audiences. She is currenly completing her first cd.
