I'm just a guy with a lot to say, and I find that the coolest way to say it is through music. There are a lot of folks who have a lot more talent than I do, musically speaking. I feel that the thing that makes my music worth listening to is that it is controversial. I'm not afraid to make you feel something, even if you'll be throwing things at me by the end of the night. Some people probably hate the message that I'm singin', and that's perfectly fine. A lot of people LOVE the message, and the edge with which it is delivered. I'm not out there to try to be EVERYBODY's favorite. There is plenty of that BS, in my opinion, in mainstream music anyway. If you want to listen to music that doesn't really say much, or music that requires a lot of interpretation, turn on the radio and you're sure to find it somewhere. I make music that people understand. I like to think that I speak for the common man, even though there are probably a few "common men" who would disagree with my message.Ya see, the songs mean somethin' to folks who say "Yeah! I know exactly what you're singin' about," or "I've been there," or "Ya know, I'm going through somethin' like that, and that song is great therapy." I've actually experienced that kind of therapy with a song called, "Can't You See," by the Marshall Tucker Band. I've been told that I have a knack for writing lyrics, but I'll let you judge that one for yourself.THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG: To me, the Confederate Battle Flag is a symbol of Southern Pride, State's Rights, the free and rebellious spirit of a difference maker, and Heritage. The flag is an integral part of my image as a musician, songwriter, and entertainer. Like I said before, I will make you FEEL SOMETHIN'! The flag is a part of that.
