DEFORMITY

About Me

DEFORMITY was formed march 1990 from Jörn Offeney (Vocals/Bass) & Burkhardt Reichmuth (Guitars) to explore the world of death metal. In september first drummer Phil Maronn joined the band. The first demo "Gory Immortality", released in early 1991, has been more in the veins of old HELLHAMMER and old SAMAEL! Shortly after the release Phil Maronn left the band & some line up changes followed. In 1992 DEFORMITY, now with Jörn Offeney (Vocals), Wolfgang Snijders (Bass), Burkhardt Reichmuth (Guitars), Mark Wickenkamp (Guitars) & Thiemo Rohde (Drums), recorded their second demotape "Cruelty Remains". It contained more speed, darkness and brutality! Their final release is called "Forsaken", released on cd 1995! It has been recorded in the legendary Music Lab Studio in Berlin/Germany (PESTILENCE, SODOM, KREATOR) and was produced by Simon Fuhrmann (later he did stuff like KRISIUN)! Several live gigs together with bands like TORCHURE, TORMENT and TEMPLE OF THE ABSURD followed. DEFORMITY have split up due musical differences in 1997!
