Dice da playboy, who's birth name is Devon was born and raised in bed stuy brooklyn. he grew up around a very unique circle of people and claims dat those he grew up with and the environment that he was raised in makes him the person/artist that he is today. He first started rapping at the age of ten along side Desert Eag, Young Saint, Drew, Cash and Young lloyd, they started da group called gun unit. "We used to chill on the block and freestyle on a tape recorder and after we were finished we'd call all da bitches on da block and let them hear our songs lol it was fun back then" said dice. Desert eag later changed the name from gun unit to squadamedics when everyone one in the group started takin the music thing a lil more seriously. a couple years past after goiing in and out studio the group kindof fell apart and some of the members stopped rappin, this is when the cocky playboy Dice took it upon his self to bring da team back n make it stronger. He brought a new artist Eklypse to da sms family but it didnt work out too well, after that he started grq entertainment which was his own group branched off of the sms family, he added Vinny da don, B-boy, and murda melo. Around that time it when everybody was into myspace so the spins were really high with there music they all thought they were finally getting somewhere with the music thing. With this new found confidence dice wanted to expand even further bringing in more artist such as Lady rage, Noose, Emphasys, Eger mano, 360, iceman and retro. Everything was goiing well everyone in da team were gettin alot of plays and veiws and friend requests and all of that. But all the so called myspace fame and success came to an end, pretty much the gorup of young kids did what young kids do, they got bored with da rap shyt. "yea we was gettin plays and shyt but dat was from our friends in school and some myspace friends after promtin threw bulletins and all dat we was tryna get a deal." dice said. Pretty much the whole idea of rappin got lame the boys in the group wudd rather go out and party, find bitches go shoppin play ball and do other shyt. However now 2008 Dice Da Playboy has got in contact with many different ways to get out the hood, he has linked up with evylyn and da D.O.R.M movement, squadamedics is up and running strong again thanks To Desert Eag., Venom who is managing Facefront records has high expectation for the punchline prince and Dice has gottin in contact with Vinny and B-boy who plan on bringing the GRQ entertainment back to where it was.
