About Me

Kyle Madsen is a 18 year old musician living in the Downtown Chicago area performing on Tenor and Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Flute. He is a Jazz Studies major at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. A graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts as a Jazz and Band Double Major, Kyle has performed Classical music with Colonel John R. Bourgeois, Keith Lemmons, and Joseph Alessi. He has also had the opportunity to play with jazz with artists such as Randy Brecker, Laura Taylor, Horace Alexander Young, Kenny Werner (once at a camp), Mike Crotty, Anita Brown, Mike Tamaro, Willy Hill, Terry O'Mahoney, UNR's "The Collective", Dave Pietro, Leon "Ndugu" Chancellor, Rob Parton, Butch Miles, Paul Wertico, Fred Simon, and Nat Reeves. Kyle has attended and competed in national competitions such as The Lionel Hampton, Reno, and Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festivals. He has also performed at the 51st annual Monterey Jazz Festival.
