TO ENRAGE A LAKE
TEAL started down at the PKL when Jayson and Paul met for the first time (after previous online collaboration) and just clicked in a very heterosexual way. Four songs were churned out over the course of one weekend, and they knew it was something. Deciding to continue, they recorded their demos and are currently working on making everything bigger and badder.
WHY TEAL?
On the first night that Jayson and Paul hung out, they went down to a dock on the lake, and as they jammed Paul stumbled on a distinct progression and Jayson began to improvise vocal lines over it. This jam later turned out to be the chorus of Baby You're Not, and as they reached a final rounding of the jam the water began to go crazy and slammed into the dock, overflowing onto the deck. As the song ended the lake calmed and the name was discovered.
