The Thistle Sisters

About Me

Howdy ya'll!
We're The Thistle Sisters: Alaina, Mary Caton, and Sharon. We're a new folk/indie/bluegrass band, and we play the music that we love. Sometimes that means music that we've written, and sometimes that means playing songs near and dear to us, yet written by others we admire and respect. Either way, we aim to have fun every time we pick up an instrument--whether we're just hanging out in MC's living room or performing for a crowd of people!
We're busy ladies... Mary Caton and Sharon are also members of the extraordinary alt-country band The Whiskey Bottles, and Alaina has her own solo material as well... follow the links in our Top Friends if you want to hear more! Thank goodness we found each other though-- making music with other talented women is so inspiring!
We just started playing gigs more regularly here in lovely Boulder, Colorado. Look for us around town, you'll be seeing more of us soon! We are also in the process of recording more music, so check back for the latest additions!
Thanks for visiting and listening-- we appreciate your support :) ..
