About Me


Bayu started its journey back in 2004. The bands forte is alternative indie & pop rock. Although Bayu music is influenced by bands like Padi, Dewa , Sonic Youth, The Used, Danzig, Nine Inch Nails, the band flaunts their own unique flavour in their songs.
Bayu means wind or breeze in english. It depicts the soft melodius melodies and ethereal lyrics of bayu. The name symbolizes the band's music, artisitic vision and lyrics. Bayu's main vision is to gather and create a Bayu fan club where we can call a family, and eventually gain recognition for their music.
Bayu's new line-up was ressurected in August 2004 after the original line up dispersed in January of that year.
Bayu has performed at various places such as Max Pavillion,Pasir Ris D' Marquee Planet Paradigm, Y.M.S, Esplanade Library,Indonesia Embassy and has performed together with other local bands. It is time for Bayu to take their music one step further.

Bayu is in some serious make over. We are now having only 4 person left in the band. New Singer n new style of music. We will b recording our next single by March End 2008 . And by year 2008 hope that we will back in studio to record our second album. Mixture of Malay & English Music. Check us out Bayu.
