Bazil Has been into Dance music since he was 13 (1998) at 15 he started to mix, collecting vinyl, It all started hearing a freinds brother mix nu energy and acid techno, he was hooked to this sound and Was heavily influenced by laB 4. His mind began to wander and couldnt grasp how this music was made so thought about this alot and ended up attending a production course at the ACM. He built up a small studio and grew an interest in drum n bass alongside his psy and energy influenses. At first the bouncy stuff but when that wore off much more complex patterns and a much more tecchy side of the spectrum court his imagination. Through working at music college and networking with other people in the same boat (Subterra, Lean, Network, F.D.) led to the birth of a now renowned drum n bass night, Rotation bringing the finest djs such as andy c, ed rush n optical, break, sub focus,Klute, Chris su, Pendulum to name a few. Playing alongside these djs was a good experience for him. Bazil has played at other nights including New Nation, collective, Presha,Knowledge,dub smugglaz and has contributed his sound at free parties on systems such as Nine bar and Ravenous. By 2005 2006 Production tecniques were growing and some new equipment was purchased including an access virus which undoubtably changed his sound and took things one notch up the production ladder. A track named transition he made with DJ Lean caught the attention of Inter and Bridge's Label Sudden Deff. There was a bit of hype but didnt result in a release, A few more solo tracks and collabs resulted in the birth of Ancient Rage, made with freind and now production parter Subterra. They felt this track had potential, and it was receiving some attention and club play. Also gaining a respected track of the month on Knowledge radio. Now with Sudden Deff emerging with a new label DEFF LTD,Bazil and Subterra have their first release on DEFF LTD 003. Expect more from these two and collaborations with Lean, Phony and seperate breakbeat and minimal stuff with Rhythm logistics who has releases on More Funk Than Punk and stay up for ever' sister label Wah Wah.
