Satyrix {sah-tear-icks} write all their own beats, melodies, basslines, lyrics and vocals.Satyrix have been producing their own music for four years now and the guys have also produced a number of music videos themselves that have been broadcast on a variety on national and international tv stations. Their wide variety of talents also include web design (www.satyrix.com), 3D animation, graphic design, visuals and event management. The lead singer Chris is also a professional singer featuring in various musicals and shows around Ireland.They are a Dublin based band,all growing up in the Ringsend,Irishtown and Sandymount areas. The seeds for Satyirx were sown in Marian College where a bond based on common interest in music, sports, performing, creativity and humour was formed that still exists to this day.Satyrix are a breath of fresh air in Dublin's over crowded, incestuous indi music scence.Its difficult to label the bands sound. They have been compared to sounding like some of The Beastie Boys early work, certainly in their party vibe and humourous punchlines, while others say they are moving more in the direction of Massive Attack or The Audiobullys. The new love song has drawn comparisons with the Streets recent lower tempo, heartfelt spoken word approach to the typical love ballad. However, one things for certain- which ever direction Satyrix do go it is obvious they have the talent, musicial prowness and drive to please any audience.Their electrifying live shows and their hyper performance pay testament to that.The website www.satyrix.com is currently undergiong a revamp as Satyrix prepare to launch their debut single '4 you' over the summer months!
