Jahmon Pauling aka Smiley was born in winston-salem,NC on the day of feb18 1987 to a music bound family on the southside of the city He is the youngest of and only boy and has an older sister whom is 25 He began his music journey beating on pots and pans in his mothers kitchen at an early age His father whom name is Kevin 'khebo' Pauling was already performing in a reggae band by the name of 'Lion Tracks' which he created before smiley was born As Jahmon aka Smiley got older he began to learn and play reggae music as a whole but it wasnt where his heart was, so when he moved out of his dad house his freshman year in High school, he began to make beats and rap for peers in school Now not everyone knew how to make beats at this time any where in his nieghborhood Smiley was also using fruity loops to make the beats and to rap over Time went on and smiley began sellin beats to local wanna be rappers around school, making easy jordans and lunch money When he turned 18, Smiley's first cousin by the name of Johnathan 'jay' came to winston from Atlanta, his was also born in winston but moved to atlanta at two, anyways jay had been making music in atlanta around the same time smiley was The two linked up, got them selves a triton and mpc 1000 and began an production team which goes by the name 'Chophouze' and began shopping music to different artist As smiley and jay got older, they stepped up they game in rapping and beats, meet new poeple, got a manager by the name of Yacth and linked up wit many artist Such as busta rhymes, Rocko da Don, Oj da Juiceman, Gucci Mane, Nikki Minaj, Jadakiss, Hot Rod of G-unit, Frenchie, Kadillak Boys, Jim Jones, Fendy of dirty money and From time to time smiley stills plays at sold out reggae shows with his father for quick cash but he would rather be somewhere in a studio producing mainstream hits. http://www.myspace.com/chophouze
