Lack Of Interest

About Me

Lack of Interest was founded and existed for a short time during the summer of 1986 in Bowling Green, KY. Brent Woods (guitar, vocals), Steve Gorman (drums), and John Vanover (bass) worked up four songs and recorded them that summer in the gym at University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville, KY. This was Steve Gorman's band just before he dropped out of WKU, moved to Atlanta, and soon thereafter became the drummer for the Black Crowes.Three songs were original compositions by Brent Woods (Missing Me, Fear of Ourselves, and Happy Land) while Model 80's Man was written a few years earlier by a friend, with music written in 1986 by Woods. The four songs were mixed and some 20 copies, with lyric sheet enclosed, were dubbed for friends. The songs were transferred to CD a few years ago by Boa.
