I am from a budding house in the ghetto
A neighbor to guilt
Across the street from confusion
Below loneliness
Above hate
And down the street from happiness
And my home, though it is not quite finished, it is already broken
I live with a fatherless presence
An overworked mother
And a young man who bears a lot on his cross
He has dreams of marrying the girl whose eyes are saturated in love down the street
My house is surrounded by the grapes of pain and wrath and the Fruit of the Spirit
I come from a hurt
A deep seeded hurt that energizes me when I walk
I come from a past I can’t cry about
But without it, I wouldn’t be me
So I keep it bottled in
Sometimes allowing me to grow faster
Sometimes stunting my growth
I come from a trust in what I can’t see
A fear in what I can’t see
A dove’s tear and a women’s prayer
My heartbeat invokes Fats Domino, Billie Holliday, and Bob Marley

I work as a manager at a resturant(dont ask me where, cuzz i aint gonna tell ya) and I do real estate. Im more down to earth than tha dirt, I stay chillin on it.
