I am attending The Institute of American Indian Arts studying the BFA: Studio Arts program. I'm Creek/Cherokee Indian from Jenks, Oklahoma. I'm a Printmaker and Sculptor, my passion in life is making artwork and I have fallen in love with printmaking. My degree is mainly focused on printmaking, but I want to learn it all. Everything that deals with art I want to know and learn. I have studied ceramics, Jewelry, painting, sculpture, graphic design, sequential art (comics), photography, but there is more to learn. I think I learn something-new everyday.
This saying "Hard work will beat the Talent if the Talent doesn't work!" I believe is true, I have seen many talented artist fall into this category they haven't the motivation to produce art. Then I look at an artist that does not have great talent but has the motivation that is persistent and is able to over come the challenge and prove that they can compete with one another.
If you don't have the sprit and motivation to achieve your goals, then you will never make it. Why I say this is because you will never no unless you try. It's all about RISK!
