In an industry inundated with aspiring singers and songwriters, Aria is a true gem whose star quality shines brighter than the rest. With a fierce combination of beauty and prowess vocals, this young talent's refined lyrics are ignited deep within her "old soul." Her love affair with music was instant; born through the eyes of a precocious child who sat in the shadows and watched her older brothers attend piano lessons. And the very moment her fingers stroked the ivory keys of the family's baby grand, she was smitten. But her early discovery and love for music would remain a secret. Her strict Pentecostal-Christian home prohibited "secular" music, so Aria's early inspiration was fostered from classical and gospel. Eventually, with a small bedside alarm clock radio, she would quietly listen to music with dreams of one day becoming a star herself. By the age of 12, this child prodigy had written well over 30 songs on the piano. One day, bored at church and believing she was all alone, Aria sang and played on the basement piano where her gift of music was finally discovered by a parish elder who revealed the child's incredible gift. Divine intervention? Perhaps. It was that very day that an exciting journey began. One inspired by the likes of classical composers Chopin and Beethoven and transformed by vocalists like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack and James Brown. A journey that has showcased her talent on the stages of New York City venues such as The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Piano's and Kenny's Castaways and has nominated her for the ASCAP Robert Allen Award in 2007. Aria's sound has many describing it as "sophisti-pop," her breathy voice combined with a rhythm and blues beat create a unique mesmerizing sound. Aria's "do it yourself" dedication and her self-motivation allow for her brilliant musical stylings to unfold for the world to soon behold!
