anything with a kick-ass melody, a good beat, and/or unexpected harmonies. sus2 & sus4 chords are always appreciated... so is richard marx and monster ballads. i'm a sucker for mid-'90s alternative (anything that was on MTV's 120 minutes--damn, i miss that show)

Movies:

once, kill bill: vol.1&2, the 40 year old virgin, x-men, 28 days later, sin city, the incredibles, there's something about mary, the hills have eyes, aladdin, eurotrip, buffy the vampire slayer, hostel, 300, the lives of others, grindhouse, the sound of music (for real, yo)

Television:

family guy, mxc, buffy, snl, conan o'brien, drawn together, lost, the sarah silverman program, i 3 new york (no, i really love her)

Books:

guide to getting it on!, battle royale... since i don't really read books anymore (boo), i'm going to list magazines: rolling stone, blender, spin, penthouse, etc.

Heroes:
