..illustrious adj: notably or brilliantly outstanding because of dignity or achievements or actions. “ I wanted a name that would represent the type of career I wish to accomplish in the entertainment industry.” A name that can also be added to his career is ‘survivor.’ Producer Illustrious not only has survived the allurement of the California streets, but also a severe medical condition. “I have had to battle with Sickle Cell Anemia all my life. The constant joint pains and hospitalizations have become a normal part of my life.” Sickle Cell Anemia is a chronic inherited anemia which a large proportion of the red block cells tend to sickle and block blood flow in the blood vessels that lead to limb and organs. Blocked blood vessels can cause pain, infection and organ damage. It was during his last hospitalization that Illustrious decide to take his career seriously. “ I had to have blood transfusions, so it was pretty serious. Coming close to death made me realize that life was too short to not follow your dreams, so I devoted myself 100% to my career.” Illustrious-Explosive Illustrious has now arrived to give Hip-Hop music an adrenalized shot to the arm with his original, refreshing, innovative and hard hitting sounds capes to his brand of Hip-Hop music. He has successfully fused the sounds of ‘Golden Era' Hip-Hop (late 80's-early 90's period) with today's contemporary music that unfolds into a collection of its own. Citing a wide range of musical genres, from 70's Soul, 80's New Wave, 90's Alternative Rock, as well as Hip-Hop having influenced the producer. Illustrious was born in Long Beach, California and raised in The Inland Empire. Music was a major force in his upbringing, as his mother, aunts and uncles were popular musicians in the Los Angeles music scene in the early 1970's. "Music runs deep in my veins, it's always been a part of my life. I couldn't imagine doing anything else." Illustrious then began rapping and producing with his brothers, performing in many venues throughout the Inland Empire. Their addictive and head-nodding tracks became well-known in the Inland Empire music scene. Illustrious would pursue his educational goals that would better equipt him for the music business. Illustrious is now set to release his his latest project "Explosive". This project will serve as a introduction to the production skills of Illustrious. The Cd will be half tracks with up and coming M.C's and the half will feature Illustrious' neck-snapping tracks. Once listening to the hypnotic rhythms of Illustrious and watching him overcome the obstacles in his life to follow his dreams, one comes to realize that success is but a touch away for this talented producer.
