It's always better when we're together.

About Me

I'm lucky because my fiance is incredibly silly. I loooove trains. I love riding them, and watching them, and counting their cars, and I love it when they blow their whistle, and also I love their stations. My bike is very important, so I keep it in my living room. I love dinners that last for several hours. Nothing beats a good conversation over a good brew under a perfect summer sky. I like eating yogurt with a fork, and I like eating bananas in HUGE bites and then talking to my sister with my mouth full of banana. She rolls her eyes, but really she thinks it's hilarious. Living in Maine for a few months changed my life. I lived in Chicago for less than a year and I think that city will always be my home. My mom thinks that the only reason I want to have kids is because they'd make a good audience...and she's probably right. Snow is a miracle. Rain is romantic. The el system in Chicago is way more managable then they make it out to be...in fact, I'm in love with it. I wish they had speakers all over the world so music would always be playing wherever you went...basically, I'd like to live in a musical. I want our kids to speak different languages. Fluently. I love it when the wind makes leaves fly around in a funnel. I think that sometimes in Indiana, the weather is how it will be in heaven. I like to think about math theory, and the conversations I miss the most are the ones Dan and I used to have about math. Sometimes I am amazed by the people I hold close: especially Jon, Lissa, Ren, Lisa, Matt, Dan, Annie...and how honest, intelligent and kind they are. Terrence amazes me about three times a day, and he makes me laugh about 3,000 times a day. "When your mind is a mess, so is mine, I can't sleep...and know that if I knew all of the answers I would not hold them from you, cuz we told each other there was no other way."

Influence 9/6

Isn't it weird how things that important people in your life say will stick with you for a really long time, even if it maybe wasn't anything important to them? It's weird the random things you remem...

Apt. .5 digs Apt. .4 6/5

I got two complaints today about the lack of "updates". I think it's remotely amusing that you actually read this. I mean...remotely. I don't really have anything interesting to say, but at the risk o...

Having realized that I haven't written anything in forever, I was looking over my "blogs" today. I put "blog" is quotes because I think it's a dumb word. Anyway, I noticed that like 3 of my "blogs" ar...

the Chicago Marathon 1/15

If this were a running log of sorts, and I had to choose one word to describe my run today, I would have to go with Disgraceful. Yes, I realize I have not been running in 8 weeks and that the ho...
